Canoe and Kayaking
On the lower reaches of the Severn, lower Avon and Poole Harbour
Welcome to Paddle Adventure, we specialise in providing individuals and small groups of people a water adventure in canoes and kayaks. Please note that this is non white water - the pace is placid, gentle and easygoing for maximum enjoyment.
Feel the exhilaration of trying something different for the first time, the sense of achievement of setting yourself a challenge and succeeding. We aim to provide you with a taster session or river tour in this water sport, and hopefully you will enjoy it so much you will take it up as a hobby.
We have selection of sessions to suit all, but if you can not find a session to suit you, simply ring and we can discuss your requirements.
So what's the difference between a CANOE and KAYAK?
- A Canoe is an open topped craft that is propelled with a single bladed paddle with the paddler sitting or kneeling. (Red Indians)
- A Kayak is propelled by a double bladed paddle, the paddler sits in the craft and has a splash deck enclosing them. (Eskimo's)
There are also Sit-on tops, these are great fun, it does what it says, you sit on top! They are very stable and will take up to 3 people.
Still interested? Have a look at our sessions which can be arranged to suit you - don't forget this all can be done either during the day or in the evenings when the country side is at its best.
